Bill founded Independence Hydrogen in 2017. He served as CEO for seven years and now as Chief Strategy Officer. Prior to Independence Hydrogen, Bill served 20 years in the United States Navy as a Naval Flight Officer. He flew the EA-6B “Prowler”, a carrier based- jet aircraft designed to suppress enemy air defenses and communications, on four deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. Bill also deployed as a counter-IED advisor to Army ground forces in Iraq and served on staff positions at the Pentagon, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and the U.S. Naval Academy. Bill earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1999, as well as M.S. degrees in Leadership from the Naval Postgraduate School and in National Security Strategy from the National War College.
