Sir Rome
Singer/Songwriter
Whether he’s performing R&B covers, soulful mash ups, or original tunes, his voice soars high, swings low, and will make you stop mid-order at the bar to see just who is on the mic stirring up your soul. At least such has been this writer’s experience.
Having Bahamian roots, Sir Rome grew up in Chesterfield, VA, singing in his father’s church. A list of some of his biggest musical influences includes The Clark Sisters, Kirk Franklin, Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, and Patti LaBelle. Additional motivation comes from a yearning for self-love.
His latest E.P., “Rome-Ance” is an unabashed sonic portrait of love, sex, and heartbreak. His wide range as a vocalist and versatility as a songwriter are undeniable in each of the 5 tracks. Intimate and personal, “Rome-Ance” feels like a raw look into Sir Rome’s heart.
“Each song I make is a part of me, whether it directly relates or not! So each song I make, it’s like a personal challenge to make more and try and dive deeper into myself to do something new and different! But also, I do this because I want to break generational curses!” Says Sir Rome.
