Salomé Garcia leads State and Local Government Affairs and Public Policy for Google across the Southeast. An Atlanta-based attorney and strategist, Salome is at the forefront of the region’s AI evolution, navigating the complex policy landscapes that govern AI deployment, infrastructure, and innovation.
Her work is central to Google’s mission of advancing bold and responsible AI, working closely with policymakers to build the infrastructure and talent pipelines necessary for a digital-first economy. By ensuring that state and local frameworks support both technological progress and the public interest, she helps translate global innovation into regional opportunity.
With a career rooted in regulated industries and energy law, Salomé brings a unique "systems-thinking" approach to how AI can solve critical challenges in the public sector and beyond. She holds a law degree from Florida State University and a graduate degree from the Yale School of Public Health, and she remains deeply committed to the intersection of policy, community involvement, and emerging technology.
