Miles Braxton

CEO and Co-Founder, Okovate Sustainable Energy

Miles Braxton is the CEO and Co-Founder of Okovate Sustainable Energy, a company dedicated to reconnecting solar development with agriculture. Unlike traditional developers who often displace farming for panels, Okovate focuses on agrivoltaics: dual-use systems that allow farmers to reap the economic benefits of solar leasing without sacrificing their crops or soil.

Miles brings seven years of deep industry experience, having managed business development and project finance for major players like Goldman Sachs Renewable Power and Sol Systems. He saw firsthand how standard solar deals often left landowners behind, which drove him to build Okovate as a solution that prioritizes farmer prosperity. A University of Virginia graduate and Rodman Scholar, Miles also holds a certification in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy from Yale. He currently serves on the boards of the Colorado Agrivoltaics Learning Center (CALC) and the BlackOak Collective, working to ensure Black communities are active leaders in the energy transition.
