Joshua Guzman Bell has 15 years of experience in nuclear power, working in design engineering, mechanical analysis, and engineering programs, and serves as Dominion Energy’s Nuclear Technology and Innovation Consultant. In this role, he identifies, pilots, and implements cutting-edge technologies to enhance the safety and effectiveness of Dominion Energy’s Nuclear fleet. Recently, he led Dominion’s robotic deployment projects, earning consecutive 2023 & 2024 Best of the Best Top Innovation Practices awards from the Nuclear Energy Institute—an unprecedented achievement in the industry.

  • This spring Joshua was honored as the 2025 Virginia Innovator of the Year by Energy Tech for his leadership and implementation of transformative technologies in Virginia. He currently spearheads the development and implementation of Dominion’s Nuclear AI strategies. He holds a BA in Economics from Virginia Tech, a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University. Additionally, he is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
