Heidi Nel is a strategist and operator at the intersection of storytelling, sustainability, and social change. As COO of New Theory Ventures, she leads the firm’s efforts to align financial performance with ESG impact – ensuringinvestments support both people and planet.

  • Previously, Heidi led Impact Entertainment at The Raben Group, where she advised media giants like Sony and YouTube on storytelling for social good, and served as Executive Director of Represent Justice, the engagement campaign for Warner Bros.’ Just Mercy.

    A former partner at Picture Motion and adjunct at Duke’s Sanford School of Public Policy, Heidi has been featured in Fast Company, CNN International, Variety, and more. Originally from South Africa, she now calls Richmond home.
