Cathie J. Vick

Before joining Google, Cathie served as the Vice President, Corporate & Government Affairs for Transurban North America and served as Chief Development and Public Affairs Officer for the Port of Virginia, where she led over $2B of infrastructure improvements, their sustainability programs, and the creation of jobs and investment across the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has also served as Deputy Director for energy policy in the Virginia Department of Energy, where she helped to implement the Governor’s energy policy initiatives in the Commonwealth.
Cathie takes an active role in political and civic life. She serves on various Boards, such as Sentara Health Plans, LEAD Virginia, Virginia Clean Cities, and TowneBank, among others. Cathie has been recognized by Virginia Business Magazine as one of the Top Women in Business (2022), received the Woman of the Year from the Women’s Transportation Society of Virginia (2022 & 2023) and received various Leadership Awards from local Chambers of Commerce (2014, 2021, 2024).
Cathie has a law degree from Georgia State University College of Law, a master’s degree in business administration from the College of William and Mary, and a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from James Madison University. She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
